Sports Nutrition Foundations

Fuel performance, support recovery, and build a sustainable approach to nutrition.

Over the years, I’ve presented about sports nutrition to high school and college athletes around the country – track, cross country, soccer, swimming, gymnastics, dance, lacrosse and more. Athletes and coaches express their gratitude and desire for this to be more common knowledge – “Maybe if I knew this sooner, I could have avoided injury… sub-par performance…disordered eating.”

I am thrilled to make the content available for on-demand viewing!

This dynamic video series offers a practical, science-backed look at foundational concepts in sports nutrition for athletes, coaches, and active individuals who want to perform at their best—without getting lost in rigid rules or overwhelm. Grounded in evidence and real-life application, it simplifies the “why” and “how” behind fueling for both health and performance.

This series helps you move away from all-or-nothing thinking and toward a way of eating that supports both your goals and your life. Because performing well starts with being well-fueled—and that should feel doable.

"As a now D-1 collegiate athlete, I wish I had access to this information before coming to college. I spent years thinking I was eating 'healthy' according to social media, only to end up sidelined with years of injury. We need carbs to get the job done!" - Collegiate athlete

D-1 Track and Field
This foundations course was excellent! As a sports nutrition nutrition provider myself, I found Rebecca's expertise and approach both refreshing and intellectually stimulating. I appreciated the case scenarios and realistic food examples of ways to help athletes fuel for their sport. The course was well-paced and incorporated evidence-based information that I look forward to incorporating into my own clinical practice!

Rebecca's Sports Nutrition Foundation Course is a great resource for parents, active kiddos, recreational athletes and high level athletes. It can be so easy to get persuaded that 'optimization' of nutrition needs to happen for performance, and actually, even at high levels, this is not true. Nutrition is one piece of the performance puzzle and while it is very important and has nuance, it is not impossible and there is room for flexibility. I highly recommend this course to learn the basics of how the body adapts to sport, why the body needs enough fuel (especially carbs!) and hydration, how to fuel pre/post/during workouts, what micronutrients to look out for and when to consider supplements.

"I really enjoyed watching your presentation with my 13 year old, as it is so helpful for him to hear nutrition info from another voice other than a parent! I'm grateful. You offered some very practical ideas and tips and I could see him scanning the slides for foods he likes."
